HP Digital Imagination is a fun and creative competition open to all primary and post-primary schools in Ireland.

Students can enter as many times as they like and with lots of great prizes everyone has a chance of winning.

In Kilvemnon we have entered this competition for the past 2 years. On the left you can see a slideshow of some of our entries.
Check out http://h40132.www4.hp.com/digitalimagination for more details

Basic criteria for photographic submissions :
The competition was open to all forms of photographic image e.g. Polaroid, Digital, 35mm Film (celluloid), Disposable etc.
- The photograph must fall within the defined theme for the section entered.
-The photo can be manipulated electronically or manually (e.g. scanning and Photoshop adjustment, photo collage, etc.).
- The largest size of a photo accepted is A4.
Judging :
The judges will be looking for creativity, imaginative ideas and how well the photo and text interpret and reflect the chosen theme. Remember - there is no need for the photograph to be digitally taken or printed - it's the inspiration and imagination that counts.

Competition entries were accepted under 3 themes.
Discovery
Have you ever made a new discovery? Ever see how animals play, houses get built, cameras work? From the wonders of the environment to the marvels of technology, think of all the things there are for you to discover. Show us what you've discovered!

Colour
Look around you! The world is filled with wonderful colours of all kinds, from muddy brown to bright red to dark blue. Do you see colour in flowers, food, clothes, buildings? What's colourful to you and why?

Our World
People have different languages and cultures around our world, but we also have lots in common-family and friends, hobbies, things that we like and that we dislike. How do you explore what's going on in our world?
