Angela Dunne

Visitors to the school

A graduate of Mary Immaculate College is the new President of the Irish National Teachers Organisation (INTO). Angela Dunne, a native of Shanagolden, Co. Limerick is a Learning Support Teacher in Ballinabranna National school, Carlow and the 107th President of the organisation.Angela has been involved with the INTO for over forty years and was INTO Vice-President for 2006/2007.

Previous to that she represented District X on the CEC for ten years covering Carlow, Wexford, Kilkenny, Laois and part of Wicklow. Angela’s main priorities as INTO President are class size, underfunding for primary schools and the workload of teaching principals. She hopes to convince Minister Mary Hanafin that working principles need one day off per week to complete their administrative duties.

We were honoured to be visited by Angela Dunne, President of the INTO as part of the 6th class Graduation Celebrations of 2007.
