Scoil Mhuire Kilvemnon

Aoileann Garavaglia, RTE's top TV chef visited Kilvemnon on the 11th of November 2006 to give the students a 'Yummy Party'.

This was due to Marie winning the Spar Kids Healthy Eating Competition.
All the students made their own 'drop cakes' under the expert supervision of Aoileann.
She also helped them to make fruit punch, which went down a treat!

Aoileann Garavaglia is Ireland's favourite kids TV Chef. She has been delighting young chefs with her hugely successful RTE series Yumee for the past 5 years. She has also published two cookbooks for children; Yumee and, It's a Yumee World. Both cookery books offer young chefs the chance to travel the world, tasting international delights of far-flung lands, from Beach Breaky Bickies of Australia to the Noodle Oodle of China and her own favourite Silly Spaghetti.

In both her TV programme and books Aoileann has always encouraged children to learn about food in a fun and exciting way with a huge emphasis on kitchen safety.

Aoileann spent the summer teaching children how to cook in Irelands Premier cookery school, Cooks Academy, Dublin.

It was Nina's birthday the next day so we presented her with a card and a present from the whole school, especially for her first Irish birthday.
